For educators
Rehearsal your trainees do before you meet.
For CPE supervisors and chaplaincy departments. ChaplainSim gives a trainee somewhere to try a response and see where it leads, and gives you a concrete conversation to work from in supervision — if, and only if, they choose to show you.
You cannot monitor your trainees with this, and that is deliberate.
For work you assign you can see who has finished it. You cannot see how anyone answered, and there is no score to see — a tool that reported on how trainees performed would stop them being honest in it, and an honest attempt is the only kind worth discussing.

A supervisor can see
- Who has done a scenario you assigned. For an assignment, each trainee in the cohort is listed by name as not started, in progress, or completed on a date — whether or not they share anything.
- An attempt a trainee has shared with you, one at a time — the conversation as it happened and the feedback they received.
- Their reflection only if they ticked that box. Sharing a conversation never shares the reflection by default; it is a separate, explicit choice each time.
A supervisor cannot see
- What happened inside any conversation they have not shared — the responses they chose, where it went, or the feedback. Completion is a date, not a transcript.
- Anything at all about scenarios you did not assign to the cohort.
- Any score, ranking, or comparison between trainees. None is produced.
- Reflection text, unless that specific reflection was explicitly included.
- Each other’s work — trainees cannot see other trainees’ attempts. A conversation shared with a cohort goes to that cohort’s supervisors.
For a cohort
Structure a unit needs, without changing any of the above.
Cohorts
A group of trainees with a start and end date, so access matches the unit rather than outliving it.
Assignments
Set a scenario for a cohort with a due date, and see who has completed it, who is part-way, and who has not begun. Completion tells you that; it does not tell you what they said.
Supervisor accounts
A route to what has been shared with you, and nothing else.
Your own retention period
An organisation can set a shorter one than the platform default for its members.
In supervision
The value is in the choice they nearly made, not the outcome they reached.

Ask the trainee to work through a scenario before your session.

Ask them to share the attempt if they want to discuss it. The decision is theirs, including whether the reflection comes with it.

Nothing in ChaplainSim is a competency assessment, and its outcomes must not be used to make decisions about anyone’s training, employment, or fitness to practise.
Data and governance
- Reflections are the most protected thing in the system: never in analytics, never in error reports, never sent to an AI provider.
- Every scenario is reviewed and approved by a named chaplain before publication.
- No AI runs while a trainee is using it.
- Data is stored and processed in Singapore (AWS ap-southeast-1), via Supabase.
